Beauty queens bring Christmas cheer

A Christmas party for the less privileged children of Middelburg turned out to be a festive and merry occasion last week Friday.

Middelburg’s own beauty queens, Amy Gwebu (Little Miss City Council) and Clarissa Pretorius (Miss City Council), combined their forces to bring Christmas spirit to the children in places of safety by spoiling them thoroughly.

Over 50 gift bags were donated to the children of the SAVF’s Huis Njala and the Middelburg Care Village.

The party was hosted at the SAVF’s Izak Badenhorst Hall, where the kids were greeted with fun games, a jumping castle, two braai masters and a visit from Mrs Claus herself.

•Amy and Clarissa thank everybody who donated food and drinks for the party.
