Ivan Crookes and Sybrand Bezuidenhout took full advantage of the overflowing Klein Olifants River flowing through Dennesig.

The two men were spotted fishing on Friday morning in their boat.

◉ The overflowing river also gave Mr Gerhardts Oosthuizen’s sons a chance to test the waters.

Mr Oosthuizen said when the municipality opened the sluice gates last week his sons asked if they could river raft.

The adrenaline junkies started their journey at Steelcrest High School and it ended at Koppie Street.

The next day the two river rafters were joined by their friends who also river rafted with them.
