Multiple vehicles, including three trucks, one carrying sand, was involved in a pile-up at Wonderfontein, 52km from Middelburg en route to Machadodorp, a few hours ago.

Apart from the three trucks a double cab bakkie and Toyota Corolla was also in involved.

There were no fatalities reported.

One truck and both the bakkie and Corolla have already been cleared from the scene.

Only two trucks, bot having capsized, remains in the road.

Salvage crews are on the scene where traffic at the busy Wonderfontein centre, remains majorly disrupted with heavy delays from both side of the highway.

Motorists are urged to approach the scene with utmost caution.
