Leerders wat aan Laerskool Kanonkop skoolgegaan het, sal almal vir Juffrou Susan Jacobs onthou.

Die saggeaarde en uitstekende onderwyseres het oor die 38 jaar daar skoolgehou.

Me. Jacobs is op 3 Februarie oorlede, nadat sy lank met haar gesondheid gesukkel het.

Haar man, Piet, sê dat Susan vir meer as 40 jaar skoolgegee het, voordat sy op die ouderdom van 71 jaar oorlede is. Hulle was vir 42 jaar getroud, nadat die egpaar hier op Middelburg ontmoet het.

Me. Jacobs word oorleef deur haar man, Piet, dogter Nicola en haar vierweekoue kleindogter.
