Two suspects arrested for possession and dealing in drugs
Two suspects aged 22 and 45 were arrested during a multidisciplinary disruptive operation conducted by the Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation (based in Middelburg), Witbank Crime Intelligence and Middelburg K9 Unit on Friday for possession, dealing and trafficking of drugs at Leslie.
Information was received about suspects who were dealing in drugs.
A search and seizure warrant was executed at the suspect’s house.
On arrival two suspects, a male and female were found sleeping in a room.
During the search of the property, drugs with an estimated street value of R700 000 were found and seized.
The Provincial Head for the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Major General Zodwa Mokoena, applauded the team for the joint operation which resulted in the arrest of one the most troublesome drug dealers in the Leslie area.
She appreciated the information which the community provided.
She is urging the community to continue providing information to the police.
*The suspects are expected to appear before the Leslie Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 21 February.
