Head-on collision leaves one injured on old Witbank road

Two company vehicles were involved in a head-on collision mid-morning on the R555 (old Witbank road).

One of the drivers was severely injured in the collision, which took place close to the van Dyksdrift crossing.

A motorist who witnessed the accident told first responders that the Transnet bakkie they were travelling behind slowly veered into the oncoming lane, colliding with another bakkie and injuring the the driver.

Law enforcement responded to the scene where traffic was minimally affected.
