N11 claims another life

A man lost his life on the N11 near the Kranspoort Pass on Wednesday.

The accident involved two vehicles and a truck carrying bricks. It occurred at about 14:00.

Four other people sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital by ER24. It is still not clear what led to the crash. The deceased is yet to be formally identified by his family.

• On March 11 three people also lost their lives on the N11 in Doornkop. They were killed when a light delivery vehicle and articulated truck were involved in a side-swipe collision.

The deceased were all in the light delivery vehicle. The driver of the truck escaped with minor injuries. • On February 21 six people including a toddler tragical lost their lives on the N11 roughly ten kilometres out of Middelburg.

The collision involved a truck and a light motor vehicle. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.
