uMephi Baby House needs your help

uMephi Baby House will play host to a baby shower for the 13 babies they care for on Saturday.

The house currently cares for 13 babies who have been placed at the home by social workers due to extreme poverty, neglect, sexual and/or physical abuse, abandonment and failed termination attempts.

uMephi cares for babies as old as a day and up to two years old.

The baby shower will be held at 30 Paardeberg Street, Aerorand from 08:00-14:00.

Residents are urged to bring along bum cream, Vaseline, Top-to-Toe bath soap or shampoo and bath soap, glycerin, earbuds, gauze, baby bottles (with round teats), pacifiers (also with round teats) for 3-6 months.

Residents who are unable to purchase the items can deposit cash into the organisation’s account.
