On that day in January this year, Vaughn took the first step towards becoming a changed man, serving God and making a difference in other people’s lives.

• He contacted www.mobserver.co.za this morning and said that a drug addict sent him this special message.

“I just want to say thank you. In the 13 years I have been an addict, I have never, not once, been able to throw away heroin. Tonight I had the courage/confidence or whatever you want to call it, to throw away a full bag. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have been able to do that!”

• After he gave his testimony to the Middelburg Observer (article on the front page of the Friday newspaper), he also send a voice note with a message to drug users.

“My advice is that if you are sincere to stop using, it is not difficult at all, you can do it. But if you do it with a stubborn mentality, you will always go back to your old ways. You must come to realize that God never leaves you. You must go to God as the broken young man or woman what you are. You need to make the decision.”
