One killed in head-on collision on Stoffberg road

One person was killed in an early morning head-on collision on the R555 Stoffberg road.

The accident involved a Ford and a Toyota bakkie, which collided head-on in the misty weather conditions roughly at 06:00 just after the Elandslaagte turn-off.

According to first responders, both drivers were trapped in the wreckage. One of the drivers was killed upon impact.

Mr Louwtjie Swart from Van Wettens Towing Services was called to assist in vehicle recovery. Mr Swart warns motorists that the R555 is still closed.
