Missing boy – residents infuriated with police

Extension 24 residents are outraged by the progress of the search for the missing four-year-old boy that disappeared on Saturday in Extension 24.

Residents burnt tyres in protest last night on the Hendrina road and are very unhappy with the response of the Middelburg Police in finding little Mpendulo (Mpesh) Ngcukani.

Mpendulo’s father said the police are giving him the run-around as he was told to reopen a missing person’s case.

Mpendulo was wearing a Khul’unolwazi school jersey with grey military pants and navy blue slippers.
The children who were with him before he went missing said he got into a white vehicle.

Anyone who might know anything about Mpendulo’s whereabouts can contact the Middelburg Police Station on 013 249 1600 or Albert Tivane on 079 374 4039.
