The destruction striking workers left behind
Shame, “poor municipal employees” want 300 000 Middelburg residents to cry them a river.

According to them, they are the victims of a “horrible employer”.
So they thank the administration by damaging their cars, shoving their bosses around, flooding the civic centre and drinking and shooting off guns close to three schools.

Do they expect us to shout our approval of their sabotage, and show our love and respect for the destruction of Middelburg by paying more for services and cutting our budgets?
Should we be ashamed of titles like kykNET Kwêla’s 2015 Town of the Year and more than R1 million in marketing opportunities the title afforded our town?

Is it wrong to love our town, and strive to become the best, not the worst?
Do they expect us to condone their actions when the destruction of our once beautiful town are their for everyone to see?
