Fighting siblings! Not just a cliché…

The Youth MMA World Championships are coming up in Dubai, and Kaitlyn van Wyk and her brother Bayliam are ready for action!

The mixed martial arts siblings will be taking part in the full-contact division against several other competitors.

The two fighters will be jetting off on Sunday, August 14. The championships start on August 17 and end on August 20.

In Kaitlyn’s under 57kg category, there are about six competitors, fighting knockout rounds. If she can pull through to win all her fights, the world champion title in her category will belong to her.

Bayliam has a bit more work to do due to his under 37kg category.

“We are super excited to fight and do what we love,” said the Van Wyk sibling duo.

“To the people out there, never give up, go for every opportunity you can. You never know what life might bring, so do what you love,” said young Kaitlyn, hoping to inspire all ages.

After taking part in the world championships, the African championships in Benoni await Kaitlyn from August 27–31.
