The Kranspoort Pass has been cleared.

This comes after an accident occurred at about 08:00.

A truck was involved in an accident.

The truck driver was trapped in the truck for three hours.

Due to the municipal strike, the fire department did not attend to the scene and the victim was trapped inside the truck for three hours.

A retired firefighter had to use his tools to rescue the victim from the vehicle.

Van Wettens salvaged the truck under difficult circumstances, leaving a single lane open for traffic.
