The extent of the damage is unclear.

Meanwhile, Mica owner Mr Hugo de Witt, who spearheaded a town cleaning operation on Saturday, finally succeeded in opening a case of malicious damage to property at the local police station, after obtaining video footage of one of his drivers being attacked by a mob of men dressed in red municipal overalls.

Four of the six tyres on Mica’s truck were slashed, windows shattered and the driver assaulted.

No arrests have been made in the attack, after police initially refused to open a case because the attackers were unidentifiable.

The video footage has been made available to police by a number of businesses.
