Time to shine at Arts and Culture Competition

The Middelburg Outreach Centre’s upcoming Arts and Culture Competition is the perfect opportunity for local artists to canvas their talents and stand a chance to win amazing prizes, all in the name of charity.

Artists and performers have until 7 September to enter the competition, which is scheduled to take place at Rustique Boutique Hotel on September 23 and 24.

Participants can enter as many categories as they want, for as little as R100 per entry.

The available categories consist of singing, dancing, drama or art.

A weekend full of fun activities, a variety of stalls, live entertainment and a beer tent will make it the perfect fun day out for the whole family.

Here is what you need to know:

Entrance fees: R30 per adult; R10 for ages 3 to 13.

23 September:

• Gates open at 15:00
• Semi-final tryouts will take place on the day
• Performer Johan Britz will perform live
• A variety of stalls will be available.

24 September:

• A variety of stalls available at the walk-through market
• Arts and Culture finals will take place. David Konrad will be the master of ceremonies
• A gala evening with Elvis Blue.
