Man in crutches assaulted in Dennesig

Chaos erupted in the park behind Dennesig Saverite just before noon today where an assault took place and a shot was fired.

According to eyewitness reports, a man in crutches was assaulted by a man who was part of a group. A bystander then hit the attacker, who passed out in the park.

The man who allegedly assaulted the guy with crutches was knocked out by someone who came to the cripple’s rescue.

In response to the altercation, a person nearby fired a shot to end the fiasco.

It was evident that the group gathered in the park were under the influence and had been drinking from early on in the morning.

Upon the arrival of a journalist from www.mobserver.co.za, who took a photo of the alleged attacker, one of his friends dressed in a EFF shirt then tried to grab the journalist’s phone.
