Black Friday started with a bang in Middelburg and shopping aisles are teeming with brave soldiers ready to sniff out irresistible specials.

While accounts confirmed that most of the Black Friday rush started at midnight, with certain retail outlets experiencing long queues at 12:00, the worst of the shopping fever had dissipated by morning.

A visit to the Middelburg Mall showed that retailers are prepared for a busy day ahead, but are off to an incident free start.
