Food parcels given as festive gifts
A total of 53 food parcels were given to families in need through a collaboration between SANRAL and other local businesses.
Botle Ba Africa has a three-year contract with SANRAL to maintain the R555, R35 and the N11.
A project liaison committee (PLC) was established to coordinate and ensure all job subcontracting opportunities are ring-fenced for the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality residents.
This was done to help the process of solving the local challenge of unemployment, as well as economic development. Upon request from the PLC, Botle Ba Africa, Sihle’s Installations and Zimile consultants representing SANRAL, collaborated and pledged contributions to assist families in need.
This was done to “lighten the load and serve as a gift this holiday season.” Requests for donations were done by the PLC.
Families were helped in the following areas, Extension 24, Bloekomsig, Tokologo, Pullens Hope, Extension 8 and Doornkop. In the coming year, the team is hoping to receive more donations to assist more families.
