Acid truck accident in Kranspoort

Two left in critical condition.

An accident has taken place at Kranspoort between at least two trucks and a bakkie, with one of the trucks containing acid.

Acid as been spilled over roughly 100m of road, leaving a 40 car pile up.

Firemen, police and medical workers are at the scene and have closed off the road.

There have been no reported deaths, but the Middelburg Observer spoke to a Life 24 ambulance operator, who said that there are two individuals in critical condition.

The incident took place this afternoon at around 15:00.
