Klein Olifants resembles dumpsite after spring festivities

The Department of Solid Waste's employees have their work cut out after the weekend's spring festivities that have left our recreational areas covered in scattered waste.

Residents living near the Kees Taljaard Sports Complex have once again expressed their disgust in the state of Asalea Street.

Municipal employees are hard at work cleaning the parks in Asalea Street.

Warm weather has drawn large crowds to the outdoors, and scores of people flocked to the banks of the Klein Olifants River near Asalea Street over the weekend.

Take away packages and empty beer bottles could be seen strewn across the parks on Monday morning.

Municipal employees, however, were seen since early this morning, cleaning up the litter.
