Residents saw the woman with a wire-cutter apparently in her backpack, cutting through the clear-view fence moments ago.

The incident follows on the vandalism of five traffic lights over the weekend.

On photos provided the woman can be seen laughing while cutting through the expensive fencing.

Residents are rightfully asking why they are paying for 15 law enforcement officials to police municipal assets, they are paying for?

The matter was directly reported to Municipal Manager Mr Mandla Mnguni who is yet to respond on the chaos which has resulted in the municipality cutting into its street-light replacement fund to replace stolen electrical cables.

The ward councillor has also been notified.
