Koko case postponed – again!

Court has been adjourned in the judicial inquiry over the state's readiness to continue to trial with the state capture investigation relating to more than R2 billion fraud, corruption and money laundering accusations against former Eskom boss Matshela Koko and his 17 co-accused.

Exhausting cross-examination of the investigating officer continued after lunch, after he had been recalled to the witness stand by the court to clarify certain issues in regards to previous testimony.

The court opened the floor to defence advocates after concluding with the witness shortly before lunch.

The matter has been postponed to 20 October to conclude with cross, and closing arguments.

Another court date will then be determined for a judgement to have the matter provisionally struck from the roll.
