Care Village Liggie Ride: Where to be

The annual Care Village Liggie Ride will be bringing Christmas lights to the streets of Middelburg this Thursday.

Here’s what you need to know:

The ride starts and finishes at B² Cycleworks, which is situated at Hoërskool Middelburg.
The ride starts at 19:00 sharp.

Children aged four and under will be allowed to join in with the festivities in a 1km joyride around the school premises, starting from 18:15.
Parents need to arrange pick-up for them before the official ride begins.

Children aged four to eight can follow the ride from MHS to Care Village (three kilometres). From there, pick-up needs to be arranged, or they can join the back up vehicle.

Children aged eight and up can participate in the official ride as long as they can keep the pace.
A backup vehicle will also be available where necessary.

The route through town consists of 27km and cyclists will be travelling through town, including the following streets:

• John Magagula (past the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality) to Hospital Street.
• Via Hospital Street to the Care Village.
