Expected petrol prices for September

According to the Central Energy Fund’s middle-of-the-month figures, petrol prices in September are set to decrease once again.

September expected to follow downward trend

Wallets have been thankful over the past several months, with August and July seeing welcome reductions in the cost of petrol and diesel.

These are only rough estimates, and not confirmed figures, with the exact changes to be announced next week. There has also been speculation that an even larger increase is on the cards.

The actual price change will come into effect on September 4.

Nonetheless, you can find the predicted changes below:

• Petrol 93: 62 cents per litre decrease.
• Petrol 95: 67 cents per litre decrease.
• Diesel 0.05%: 53 cents per litre decrease.
• Diesel 0.005%: 77 cents per litre decrease.
• Illuminating paraffin: 78 cents per litre decrease.
