President Cyril Ramaphosa visits Middelburg for the second time this year

Tomorrow, the president will conduct a handover of the Welisizwe Rural Bridges set to take place at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in the Thembisile Hani Local Municipality.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has visited Middelburg for the second time this year, meeting with the Mpumalanga Provincial Government’s top brass at the Nkangala District Municipality.

President Ramaphosa opened the meeting, which firmly focused on enhancing intergovernmental co-ordination and improving service delivery.

The Mpumalanga Executive, led by Provincial Premier Mandla Nlovu, presented a 5-year plan to improve, revitalise and accelerate service delivery on a local level.

This is the National Government’s third engagement with provincial executives, after having visited KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.

This is the president’s first visit to town since winning his re-election bid in this year’s general election.
