Rain unlikely to dampen spirits as children set to return to school

This Wednesday, children across town will say goodbye to their holidays and hello to education as parents and pupils prepare for the much-anticipated return to school.

As currently indicated by The Weather Channel, The Weather Network, AccuWeather, and Apple’s weather services, there is no rain anticipated on Wednesday morning.

Meaning that the new Grade Ones will not have to waddle through puddles on their way to the biggest day of their lives, and that 2025’s matrics can start the year off without a black cloud hanging over their heads.

The Weather Channel states that Wednesday will be partly cloudy with a 24% chance of rain during the day, with showers expected that evening.

The Weather Network concurs with a probability of precipitation of 20%, which is unlikely to get in the way of their predicted mix of sun and clouds for that morning, with rain only set to arrive later that afternoon.

AccuWeather anticipates Wednesday morning to be ‘mostly cloudy with a thunderstorm in parts of the area’ and a 42% chance of precipitation.

Apple foresees a partly cloudy morning with a hint of sun, with rain later that evening.

Despite four separate weather sites agreeing on the same thing, the Middelburg Observer advises learners and parents to pack an umbrella, just in case.
