Recovery operations are still underway on the N11 near the Kranspoort Pass, with the overturned tanker having been lifted this evening at roughly 19:00.

It is still unclear as to when the N11 to Loskop Dam will be reopened, but sources at the scene told the Middelburg Observer that it should be opened tomorrow morning.

They also stated that the road may even be reopened later tonight if the recovery process goes well.

Motorists have been urged to proceed with caution when using alternative routes, as one person was killed on the alternative Stoffberg Road last night.
