Disturbing discovery adds to missing persons list

Another man’s body found in water, DNA examination underway.

A grim discovery of a man’s body near Belfast was made on June 25.

The body was discovered by children at the Old Madala Informal Settlement at around 14:00.
According to information, the body was heavily decomposed and was found in a waterhole, close to a wetland.

A post-mortem examination was conducted last week to identify if the body is that of Meluleki Ndumiso Ncongwane (23).
Meluleki went missing on April 26 at around 22:00 between Stoffberg and Belfast Fourways.

DNA tests are still being conducted.

• A search is underway for Nqobani Madondo (34) from Aerorand, who has been missing since June 17.
At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black jeans and a black jacket.
Anyone with information regarding Nqobani’s whereabouts is urged to contact Vusi Biyela on 072 461 1280.

• Khulekani Nkambule (23) from Hendrina was found dead next to a dam in Kriel, after he went missing on May 23.

• Johannes Sibanyoni’s body was found in a stream in Kwazamokuhle on June 2, after he went missing on May 25.

• It has now been two months since Thabisile Thabethe (36) disappeared.
She was last seen on May 30 at a bar in Blinkpan. She vanished after heading home, which is a 6km walk from the bar.
The Blinkpan SAPS and community members have been trying to locate her, and an investigation into her disappearance is still ongoing
