Bizarre discovery in manicured Aerorand garden leaves residents baffled

Tools of the trade...

Yesterday, a resident of Aerorand removed two walking frames, a hockey stick, and a scanner handheld radio from behind a minisub in Dwyka Street.

The bizarre find was made when someone reported the random objects on the area’s WhatsApp Community Safety group.

The minisub is surrounded by a square, well maintained hedge, with only the front of the minisub visible from the road.

The items were placed at the back of the minisub between a bordering wall.

According to the woman that retrieved the articles after the WhatsApp post, there was only one handheld scanner radio, and not two as reported on the group.

Both the walking frames, and the hockey stick are in good condition.

Where the items were found.

Another neighbour, with CCTV cameras pointed at both ends of the street, said she saw two men walking with objects towards the minisub on Monday around 11:30.

The footage is, however, very unclear and pixilated.

The men could, however, be observed tampering with the minisub.

It is believed that the walking frames, which are light to carry around, could be used to climb over high walls, while the hockey stick is believed to be used to maneuver around electric fences.

The scanner can be used to pick up police and security movements and broadcasts.

The items have, meanwhile, been handed to former CPF chairwoman and MHRF councillor Ena Uys.

If you think any of the items belong to you, contact Uys via WhatsApp message on 082 415 8029.
