WATCH: The myth of the Kruger Millions lives on …

Treasure hunters can keep searching.

Dr Pierre Edwards took almost an hour to convince symposium attendees at the National Heritage Association’s meeting that the Kruger Millions do not exist.

He was also clearly affronted when a journalist asked him before his talk whether he was a historian or a treasure hunter.

At the beginning of his presentation to refute the myth of the Kruger Millions, he said “ek is nie ’n donnerse skattejagter nie”, “I’m not a damn treasure hunter”.

Where’s the Kruger millions? Dr Pierre Edwards took almost an hour to convince symposium attendees at the National Heritage Association’s meeting that the Kruger Millions do not exist. Many people, however, still believe that the treasure is real. All video material of the National Hertiage Symposium courtesy of Tobie van den Bergh.

His well-researched presentation was questioned this morning by Simon C Green, who began his presentation on the Rice blockhouse by referring to the Kruger Millions.

He said that the search for the Kruger Millions is still ongoing and it may not be in a deep hole, but there is treasure somewhere waiting to be discovered.

In his heart he still believes in the myth of the Kruger Millions.

Dr. Edwards may be an amateur historian and not a treasure hunter, and even if he knocks the myth for a six, he’s not going to stop real treasure hunters from still searching for Uncle Paul’s golden pounds.
