An attempted break-in in Kanonkop on Saturday night was stopped just in time, according to homeowner Steven Stoltz.
Steven said he became suspicious over the past few weeks, noticing subtle signs that someone had been probing the property, “I’m convinced they’ve been trying for a while,” he said.
The suspects targeted a vulnerable point on the premises, but the break-in failed after Steven recently reinforced the area with additional security features, “If I hadn’t upgraded the security, I’m certain they would have gotten inside,” he added.
The police have been notified, and residents in the Protea Street area are encouraged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.
