Dairy shop burglars make off with laptop and ‘tiger milk’

Burglars neglect their teeth, punish their livers.

Burglars made off with a laptop and bottles of whiskey and brandy during an early morning break-in at a dairy in Zuid Street yesterday.

Mid Alarms rushed to the milk shop shortly after 03:00 yesterday morning, after burglars cut a hole through the wire fence to gain entry to the yard.

From there, the burglars proceeded to remove the shop’s burglar bars, as well as a diamond-mesh plate covering the window.

The window was smashed, after which the burglars clambered through the broken window and proceeded to the cash registers.

Luckily the cash registers were empty, but a laptop was spotted inside the shop.

The burglars were, however, not in the mood for cow’s milk, and focused on the tiger variety.

The burglars broke the window to gain entry.

Apart from the laptop, the burglars also stole an unknown number of uncracked whiskey and brandy bottles.

No arrests have been made.

• Two bicycles were also almost stolen around the same time in Sneeuberg Street, Aerorand.

Burglars lifted the gate to gain entry to the property.

From there, they forced their way into the garage before being interrupted by the owner of the house, who also dispatched Mid Alarms.

The burglars fled empty handed into the night after being disturbed.
