“I’m alive!”
Cobus Fourie’s (68) face tells it all.
His eyes say what he has just been through.
213km of relentless pedaling through the Karoo.
The man who has completed 42 Ironman competitions has finished the last stage of the Munga cycling race for Care Riders 2.

“Anybody who comes here and doesn’t leave as a different person, something must be wrong with him. It makes you a different person, it’s humbling, brings you down to earth and changes your life for the better,” he said.
A touching video also shows Lukas van Rooyen finishing his shift for Care Riders 3, while in tears.
While he is treating his feet in a sink, he said that the Tankwa will never see him again.
Memories of a lifetime
Middelburg’s three Care Rider teams successfully completed the equipe (relay).
From the many videos and photos sent from the route between Bloemfontein and Wellington, it is clear that the cyclists and supporters made memories of a lifetime.
They say the best thing about memories is making them.
The team of Vlok Cilliers, VlokSkop, won the equip and dethroned the Care Riders.
Toks&Tjops, with Magda Nieuwoudt, phenomenally finished second. She rode the second and also the last stage.
