Mayor Bahula welcomes newborn babies

Six new babies were born on Christmas Day at Matlala Hospital outside Marble Hall.

Sekhukhune District Municipality Executive Mayor, Minah Bahula, welcomed six newborn babies who were given birth to between 05:00 and 10:30 on Christmas Day at Matlala Hospital in Tsimanyane Village outside Marble Hall within Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality.

Celebrating the birth of the healthy bunch of six boys, Bahula expressed heartfelt congratulatory remarks to the new mothers and commended the health officials for their dedication, reminding them to approach their duty not just as employment but a calling.

She emphasized on the historical milestone of Tsimanyane Hospital and committed to engage government to improve the health facility’s infrastructure and perverse its legacy.

Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality Mayor, Given Moimana, thanked the healthcare workers at the facility for their adherence to the Bophelo Pele campaign as championed by Limpopo Health MEC, Dieketseng Mashego.

This takes place a day after Bahula distributed food packs to over 600 families across the four local municipalities of the region in Jane Furse over the course of two days, beginning December 23.

Addressing the occasion on December 24, Bahula expressed, “I know the pain of not having food on Christmas Day. I hope the little that I have provided to you today will help mitigate your immediate challenge and make you happy on Christmas Day. I would like to thank all the sponsors who stood by my side to ensure this mission becomes possible.”
