Miso shines with fifth-place finish at international pageant

Phagamiso Napo secures her place in the top five of the International Junior Miss South Africa pageant.

The nine-year-old model and winner of the International Junior Miss South Africa 2024/2025 in the Junior Pre-Teen category, Phagamiso Napo, represented South Africa on the international stage between December 28 and January 5 in the United States of America.

From Burgersfort and affectionately known as Miso, she made Sekhukhune District, Limpopo Province, and the country proud when she became the fourth runner-up in the prestigious competition, claiming fifth place overall.

Miso further raised Sekhukhune District’s flag high as she achieved the second princess position in the Fresh Face Category of the contest.

Her journey in the pageant industry spans over six years, and she has won 36 titles from various international and local contests.

Miso also does catwalk modelling and has walked shows such as Fashion Without Borders and Soweto Fashion Week. She is currently the ambassador for the UD Fashion House.

Miso was further awarded in the Leadership and Best Interview categories in her age group in the Junior Miss South Africa 2024/2025’s Junior Pre-Teen division.

The young model, who is also a learner from Laerskool Burgersfort, expressed her delight at her achievement in the recent international competition, sharing that the event was a wonderful and enriching experience that she will never forget.
