Rabie Ridge Police have opened a case of murder after the body of the male victim was discovered at around 20:00, on November 24, on the corner of Bulelwa Mokomane Street and Malesibane Street. According to Ekurhuleni District Police spokesperson Captain Nelda Sekgobela, the man was found lying in the road with multiple stab wounds.

“On arrival, [the complainant] found paramedics, members from Gauteng Emergency Services, at the scene, who pointed out the body of a black male who was declared dead at the scene.”

Police said another man later arrived at the scene and identified the deceased as his cousin from Mozambique. While it is alleged that the two men had earlier argued over a girlfriend, police say it is not yet clear whether the dispute is linked to the fatal stabbing.

Sekgobela confirmed that no arrests have been made, and the circumstances surrounding the murder remain under investigation. “All role players were summoned to the scene. No arrest has been made, and the suspect is still on the run.”

The body was transported to the Germiston Mortuary for further investigation.
