Ultimate debuts a SV Bespoke colour called Maya Blue Gloss.
Having unveiled the Carbon Edition earlier this year followed weeks later by a number of uniquely South African inspired colour derivatives, Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) has introduced another special edition version of the Range Rover Sport SVR the local market will be getting next year.
Once again the work of JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) SV Bespoke division, the SVR Ultimate, as with its mentioned siblings, mainly benefits from a series of interior and exterior revisions, the latter comprising 22-inch split-spoke forged alloy wheels, black brake calipers and knurled black Range Rover badging on bonnet and tailgate.
In addition, the it also boasts Fuji White badge and wing edging, Narvik Black finishes on the side vents, grille and mirror caps, SV Bespoke badges on the B-pillar and a choice of three colours with glass flake particles contrasted by a Narvik Black roof; Ligurian Black Satin, Marl Grey Gloss and Maya Blue Gloss.

Inside, specification and design is unchanged from the regular SVR, but inclusive of bespoke touches in the form of Ultimate-branded illuminated treadplates, Windsor leather lightweight sport seats with contrasting suede-cloth stitching, anodised aluminium gear shift paddles and an Ebony/Cirrus interior finish.
Up front, the stalwart Ford derived 5.0-litre supercharged V8 remains unchanged with outputs of 423kW/700Nm delivered to all four wheels via a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic gearbox. Top speed is also unaffected by the exterior and interior remodelling with Land Rover claiming a v-max of 283 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
Going on sale early next year, pricing and unit allocation of the SVR Ultimate will only be announced closer to the actual launch date, but expect the sticker be up on not only the standard SVR’s R2 654 862, but also the R2 858 462 demanded by the Carbon.
