Warning on fire outbreaks

Communities are warned to be cautious of the spread and development of runaway fires in the province.

MBOMBELA- The department of cooperative governance and traditional affairs has issed a warning on the spread and development of runaway fires.

“Due to warm, dry and windy condition, communities are warned to be cautious of the spread and development of runaway fires. Our people are thetrefore advised to take extra precautions and prevent making fires in the open. All burning permits have been suspended,” said the department’s spokesperson Ms lefentse Nkosi.

She added that the conditions will continue until the weekend.
