Mandela Warriors celebrate season with awards ceremony in Shatale

Ethen Makofane was the biggest winner of the day, scooping three awards.

Mandela Warriors FC hosted their end-of-season awards ceremony on Saturday, October 11 in Shatale. The event aimed to recognise the players’ commitment, dedication, and hard work, while motivating them to continue striving for success. Voting for all divisions was confidential, with winners chosen by their teammates.

The winners are:
• U11 Player of the season: Mahlatse Nonyane
• U14 Player of the season: Tsebo Nonyane
• U16 Player of the season: Junior Malele
• U20 Player of the season: Ethen Makofane
• Top goal scorer U14: Mofenyi Mkhondo
• Top goal scorer U16: Bokang Nonyane
• Top goal scorer U20: Ethen Makofane
• Most improved player of the season: Lefa Mabaso
• Chairman’s Award: Harvey Malope
• Best Attitude: Harvey Malope

Progress Mashego, the league secretary, said the longest-serving players were Sakhile Mogane, Tsebo Nonyane, and Ethen Makofane. The Most Committed Player of the Season award went to Shadreck Mabuza.

“He is always punctual and often the last to leave,” said Mashego.

Ethen Makofane was the top winner of the day, taking home three awards. Mashego added: “We urged those who did not win not to give up, but to keep working hard – their day will come.”
