Universities and colleges teach us how to make money, how to look and remain young, how to think progressively and be innovative, but not how to die.

Most governments all over the world, big multinational corporations, firms, schools and universities closed last week to allow their people to go and worship, not go binge drinking.
All this in remembrance of the God-become-human who died 20 centuries ago.
He is Jesus Christ, my saviour, my fortress, the rock of salvation, the fairest of ten thousand and the healing balm of Gilead. We celebrate Jesus because He died. We will die too. One day you will grow cold in death.
Universities and colleges teach us how to make money, how to look and remain young, how to think progressively and be innovative, but not how to die. All their tips help man only for life this side. Millions of people, royals, prime ministers and academics fail to realise that there is something called heaven and hell.

They don’t seem to realise there is a hereafter.
When we close our eyes here we open them somewhere else. When we say bye-to our loved ones they will say hello to us on the other side. Hence Paul says to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord.
Once born, man steadily and surely begins a slow process of dying. Life is nothing but a slow march to the cemetery. Every birthday you celebrate reduces and shortens your span on earth. Passing decades, years, months, weeks, days and hours bring us closer to our graves.

Once upon a time you could run and climb mountains with ease, you could lift up heavy objects, but today you can’t do any or most of those things. There was a time when headaches went away on their own, coughs needed a sip of medicine to feel just fine again, but it’s not the case anymore.
You get sick endlessly and healing takes forever. Death is, in reality, slowly drawing closer to you.
Five minutes after your death you will see Jesus Christ. Every unborn-again person will be “born again” in hell. Many will look for the preacher, remember the church they undermined, and every minute they wasted.

Friends of Christ don’t die, only death in them dies. Please face reality. Think about your own death and make things right with Jesus now, before it’s too late!
