Sivutsa stars enter unfamiliar territory this weekend

The National First Division campaigners, Sivutsa Stars enter unfamiliar territory this Saturday when they travel to Cape Town where they have a tough date withVasco Da Gama.

Both teams are coming to this clash – scheduled for Saturday at the Parow Park Stadium – wounded, following defeats over the weekend.

Coming from a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Durban-based Thanda Royal Zulu, Vasco is certainly expected to throw everything at Stars, who are also going to Cape Town looking for redemption after they were embarrassed at home by Blackburn Rovers by 2-0 on Saturday.

“We are not afraid of going to Cape Town, because we have been there before and we know what to expect.

I am actually happy that we lost at home because this has fuelled the boys and opened their eyes to see that it’s easy to win away games.

I am convinced we have the talent to win away games and better our chances of qualifying for the PSL,” said the team’s PRO Charles Nkosi.

“I believe that the team can do better, we have played in Cape Town against tough opponents such as Santos and lived to tell the tale. I believe we will come back alive,” Nkosi continued.

He said the coach had a full squad to choose from and would be spoilt for choice, since there were no serious injuries recorded.

After this clash, Stars will host Thanda Royal Zulu next Saturday at the KaBokweni Stadium.
