Speaking ahead of their game, Catherine Radebe – team manager for U/13 boys volleyball – said that her team was well prepared but however indicated that due to the fact that players were from different parts of the province, the game were going to be tough.

“But we are gaining the spirit of togetherness as a team.”

During their second game in the tourney, the girls U/13 basketball team lost to North West 5-15 while the U/13 boys basketball lost 7-16 to KwaZulu Natal during the first leg of the tournament, and they also lost to Western Cape by 19-26.
