Black Aces work hard focus on win

Tomorrow's clash will be a different ball game altogether.

After suffering an away drubbing of 2 – 0 at the hands of Bloemfontein Celtics, home team Mpumalanga Black Aces will be looking to redeem themselves when they take on Platinum Stars tomorrow night at Mbombela Stadium.

“We certainly need to restore our honour and the confidence of our loyal supporters and the people of the province.

Tomorrow’s clash will be a different ball game altogether.

“We have dropped unnecessary points, especially when playing away, and it’s time to change our approach and work hard on our concentration because all the games we lost in the past were due to a lack of focus,” said Aces spokesperson, Gordon Masondo.

If Aces are to turn the tables against Allan Freese’s boys, they will need to play as a unit and strengthen their defence which has shown cracks in the past three games.

The home team will be without its key defender, Mbulelo Mabizela, who is serving a two-game suspension, but this could open up a space for the experienced Eduardo Ferreira.

Aces have a good home-track record, having suffered only one loss here against Kaizer Chiefs, and Masondo said tomorrow would be another fruitful outing.

“I would once more like to urge all our supporters and all soccer-loving people in the province to come and support the team, I promise we will not disappoint them,” appealed Masondo.

Platinum Stars will, on the other hand, be hoping to secure yet another victory at this stadium following their famous win over Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knockout Cup last year. Mpumalanga Black Aces, the stadium management and Mpumalanga News are giving away tickets to this game.
