Going is tough for Stars
The home team have, however, been thrown a lifeline and an opportunity to redeem themselves when they take on Maluti FC on Saturday at the same stadium.
The going gets tougher by the day for the home side campaigning in the national first division Sivutsa Stars lost their home-league encounter against top-of-the-table Chippa United on Saturday, at the KaBokweni Stadium.
The home team have, however, been thrown a lifeline and an opportunity to redeem themselves when they take on Maluti FC on Saturday at the same stadium.
Stars PRO, Charles Nkosi had this to say, “It’s not always easy playing against teams of Chippa United’s calibre, whether at home or away.
They have the experience and winning attitude and that is why they are at the top of the log. But that is no excuse for us to lose the game, especially at home. We should have done better, but this is football and I guess fatigue is starting to creep into the camp and the boys are getting tired as the season draws to an end.”
“We are going to do much better this time around when we host Maluti United. We can’t afford to lose twice in a row, especially in our own backyard.
“We are playing for the pride of the province and our supporters and I am sure the boys will keep this in mind whenever there are opportunities to play.”
Nkosi said they had done everything to try to reach for the stars but luck and at times lack of concentration, let them down as they dropped soft points, especially at home.
