After a disappointing weekend where they lost 1-0 to Lumoja FC, Phiva Young Stars will vent their anger on the log leaders, Acornbush United when they meet at KaMhlushwa Stadium on Saturday.
The two meet in the ABC Motsepe League clash scheduled for 15:00.
According to Stars boss, Edward Khoza their weekend defeat came as a blessing in disguise because this had fuelled his troops to fight until the end.
“This has served as a wake-up call for my boys and they are now geared to fight for fruitful results.
“The defeat had reminded the team that this was a tough competition and we needed to pull up our socks and fight like soldiers,” said Khoza.
He said they viewed Saturday’s fixture against the in-form Acornbush United as a final and will fight until the last whistle blows.
“We are playing against a formidable side but I believe my boys are more than prepared and ready.
“They know what’s at stake and if we are to go all the way to the play-offs, we will need to fight hard and fight to the finish.”
Khoza said he wanted to build a professional team that will one day represent the Nkomazi subregion and the entire province in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
“The journey to the PSL begins here and we need to start preparing now and run the team in a more professional manner.
“We are slowly getting there and I am certain that God willing, we will be a force to be reckoned with.
“Our long-term vision is to create our own Naturena Village, give local soccer aspirants a chance to shine, while at the same time providing employment opportunities to local youths and soccer administrators from this subregion,” said Khoza.
Entrance to all the games at KaMhlushwa Stadium is free.
