Karabo to perform in his hometown
Mogane has been billed to perform at the Night with Lebo Sekgobela event at the Word of Life Bible Church in Shatale Township on September 21.
Season 11 SA Idols winner, Karabo Mogane, will share the stage with gospel singer, Lebo Sekgobela, in his hometown.
“Sekgobela is an amazing vocalist. I am honoured to perform alongside her. This is going to be a memorable night, especially because I will perform at my place of birth,” said Mogane.
He told Mpumalanga News this will be his first time performing in Bushbuckridge since he became a nationally acclaimed star. “My parents raised us in Shatale. We grew up speaking Sepulana and to this day I still have fond memories of the place and the friends I made there,” said the singer, whose family has been living in Mbombela for some time now.

Mogane promises his fans some fireworks on the night. “It is going to be a memorable evening with the best entertainment. I am going to give it my all and let God do the rest. I am so excited to be a part of such a powerful line-up,” he said.
Event organiser, Elton Mashiloane, said Mogane was specifically chosen because the people in Bushbuckridge have been waiting for him. “Our people have been hungering to see their star on stage in the place where he was raised. We are excited that ticket sales are picking up. We encourage everyone to start getting their ticket at Computicket and Shoprite.”
