Toekomsrus police have confirmed that a minor was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Toekomsrus, Randfontein, yesterday.

Randfontein Herald reports that Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko says a case of murder is being investigated.

“A minor suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident. An investigation is currently underway,” Sibeko adds.

In a separate but related report by The Witness, three learners were injured in two separate violent school incidents in Pietermaritzburg and Durban yesterday, with authorities linking the ongoing clashes to issues such as turf wars, bullying and substance abuse.
