Taxi war flares up, taxi boss shot dead near Ladysmith in KZN

A massive manhunt is underway for the suspects.

A taxi boss was killed outside his home on Sunday evening (September 23) in the Kwamanzini area, Ladysmith Gazette reports.

Klipriver Taxi Association deputy chairman Mr Hlatswayo was caught by surprise and gunned down by unknown gunmen as he was opening his gate.He was left lying in a pool of blood at the entrance to his homestead.

A massive manhunt is underway for the suspects.

It is believed that the shooting is linked to the ongoing conflict between the Sizwe Taxi Association and the Klipriver Taxi Association.
