Four children, among five die in Centurion crash

Four children and one adult died in an accident on the N14 highway in Centurion on Saturday, Centurion Rekord reports
The accident happened around 14:00 near the Wierda Road onramp, said ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak.
“ER24 and various other emergency services arrived on the scene where they found one of the vehicles completely torn apart,” he said.
“All of its occupants were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.”
He said paramedics found that four young children and an adult had succumbed to their injuries.
“Two women from the same vehicle sustained moderate injuries,” he said.
“They were later transported to a nearby hospital for further care.”
He said a male driver in the second vehicle also sustained moderate injuries.
“He was also assessed on the scene and treated before being transported to hospital,” he said.
